Description from the OneDrop website:

In 2010 we released our first titanium yo-yo, the Sovereign. Five years later we have tackled this amazing metal and produced a yo-yo that we feel is our best work to date: The Citizen.

A lot has changed in these 5 years. Yo-yos tend to be bigger than they used to be and high walls have gone by the wayside. As an industry and as a community we have all figured out what shapes, weights and weight distributions work better. As a yo-yo manufacturer we have improved our knowledge, skills and equipment an immense amount. All of these improvements played a role in the creation of the Citizen.

Titanium allowed us to take this shape and create a weight distribution simply not possible in aluminum; moving material to the rim while reducing overall weight. This gives it a light airy feel with incredibly long spin times.

Each Citizen was made with many hours of labor, love, and attention right here in-house in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Every single minute of machining was monitored, measured and scrutinized. Every half was hand polished. They have been checked, and re-checked. We could not have put more effort into assuring these were the most amazing yo-yos we could possibly make. There are one hundred and seventeen numbered Citizens in this run (there will not be another run).

YoYoLoco supports Spina Bifida 15th Annual Walk N Roll - Denver

YoYoLoco will be attending and supporting the Spina Bifida Association's 15th Annual Walk N Roll family friendly event will be on Sunday May 3, 2015. The event is set up in the Denver South High School parking lot (1700 East Louisiana Avenue). The walk itself will take place through Washington Park.

This should be a really fun event. About 50 participants in this fundraising event will be receiving custom logo yoyos as a reward for reaching certain goals. YoYoLoco will have a courtesy tent to assist people with setting up their yoyos and maybe teach a few tricks.

We welcome and would greatly appreciate all Colorado yoyo players who are able to attend Sunday morning to hang-out, help out and demonstrate what yoyoing is all about!

Registration begins at 8:00AM, announcements begin about 9:00 and the kickoff for the walk begins at 9:30AM.  The event concludes by 12 Noon at the high school with the drawing of the raffles and final announcements.

Newsflash: and . . . . . We're Back!

We are very happy to announce the YoYoLoco retail store has reopened/relocated to Breckenridge, Colorado at 302 South Main Street. Last Saturday, October 25th was such a beautiful day in the mountains that we couldn't resist opening the door to the public, even with the store displays only about 40% set up. One day short of a full year sabbatical, it feels great to be back and Mr. Nickdog got a ton of belly rubs from late autumn tourists. Light snow on the mountains, ski season will be here soon.

Coming Soon: YoYoLoco Breck

YoYoLoco is relocating and our retail store will reopen soon in Breckenridge, Colorado!

The YoYoLoco store and website has operated for the past seven years in Manitou Springs, Colorado - with the renowned yoyo dog Nick and his meal ticket Mark, our little shop at the base of Pikes Peak was an enjoyable place to work and spend our days. Manitou is a wonderful and enchanting town and we could have stayed here forever. Great local yoyo club, YoYoLoco team members, regular and vacationing visitors. Plus, we got a ton of new people started/restarted with yoyos, playing and simply having fun.

Looking to the future: A new adventure awaits and we invite everyone to keep in touch, stop in and say “Hi” the next time you are in the High Rockies neighborhood.

Happy trails. See you real soon.

Mark and Nick

Play the Cards You're Dealt

The YoYoLoco online store lives on, but sadly, we are closing our retail location at 744 Manitou Avenue.

Beginning November 1, 2013: The YoYoLoco business will concentrate our energy and resources on enhancing our web store shopping experience at, support our online customers and help promote yoyo and skill toy play in our region and beyond. The YoYoLoco walk-in retail store in Manitou Springs, Colorado will soon close, with our last day being (appropriately) during the annual town celebration of the Emma Crawford Coffin Races and Parade on Saturday, October 26th. We will be holding a informal wake for the store, black yoyos required.

Why are we closing a fun and successful retail location at this time?

This was an extremely difficult choice, the store has been at establiished for 6 years and we had no intention of moving. Even with all the extreme weather related adversity of the past 2 years, YoYoLoco was having it's busiest summer ever at the store. Additionally, speaking as a long time retail store operator, you never close a business just before the holiday shopping season. Never.

But this involves health and safety. Related to the devastating summer flooding in Colorado but mostly due to negligent and ineffective landlords who postponed proper repairs and mitigation of flood damage (despite repeated calls for attention) there is a high concentration of airborne mold spores emanating from the basement of the store. After the August 9th flash flood we were grateful for the massive group of community volunteers who preformed the messy cleanup and did a great job, and BluSky Restoration did a complimentary walk-thru evaluation and containment seal to keep the bad air from circulating freely at the stairway and furnace vent. Necessary followup maintenance has only recently just begun. Too little, too late for us. Since YoYoLoco does not serve or sell food, our county health department has no code or statute that would the force building owners to properly maintain the building in a timely fashion. Prolonged daily exposure to the air is not healthy, and breathing symptoms are often noticed by customers or those attending our yoyo club after about 30-60 minutes in the shop. The only choice was to close and vacate the premises.

Along with continuing to operate the YoYoLoco online store, our regularly scheduled local yoyo club meetings will continue, date/time/venue to be announced later.

We have amazing customers everywhere and believe with hard work, diligence, and a bit of luck YoYoLoco will survive and thrive as a business. While keeping our eyes open for a new and "just right" retail location, we are looking forward to making the web store even better.

Thank you so much for your support.

Mark and Nick

Note: The situation at the YoYoLoco retail store was not the standard. The city and the majority of the property owners seem to be addressing the reality of flooding in a pragmatic and responsible manner. If you live in the region or vacation in Colorado please do not hesitate to visit or be tempted to change your plans (yes, the paid parking installed this year stinks). Manitou Springs is still a wonderful, fun and safe place - you will be rewarded by your experience in this unique, friendly and "small town" community.
